Please Make Our “Pantry-Warming” Campaign a Success!
We've Moved!
NW Community Food has relocated to 4340 Connecticut Avenue NW, and we are happy to report that our PANTRY-WARMING CAMPAIGN has raised more than $12,000 toward our goal of $25,000 in just two weeks. For those of you who have already given, thank you!
If you haven’t contributed yet, we hope that we can count on YOU to reach our goal and continue our work to provide free food and essentials to those in need.
Our new home is located at the back of UDC’s David A. Clarke Law School building, between Windom and Yuma, in space graciously provided by UDC. A generous grant from Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) has also enabled us to purchase a new stainless-steel commercial refrigerator and freezer for greater capacity. Hats off also to our pro bono team of architects and designers who worked quickly to optimize the new space so that we can serve our food-insecure neighbors with dispatch and dignity.
With your help we can reach our $25,000 goal by June 30.
Please support the NW COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY-WARMING CAMPAIGN by making a secure contribution today.
Your donation helps us:
- Purchase such items as food thermometers, traffic cones, industrial mops, push-cart dollies, fans and cooling equipment.
- Defray moving costs.
- Install plumbing fixtures.
- Stock our shelves with healthy food, staples, and other essentials that are a lifeline for more than 300 families every week.
